Testing Facilities

AKZ Vehicle Engineering has access to several facilities for the testing and approval of vehicles for engineering purposes. The primary facility is the Sutton Road Driver Training Centre (previously the AFP Driving Training Complex), Sutton Road QUEANBEYAN. This facility is located are located off Yass Road on the way into Queanbeyan.

The following areas are available at the Sutton Test Track facility.

Skid Pan

The facility is used for the following:

Wet handling tests
Wet braking tests

Short Circuit / Hill Climb Track

This facility enables more extreme testing of vehicles due to design of the track and enables extreme handling and braking tests to be undertaken.

Noise Tests

Noise tests can be carried out in a quiet environment with almost zero background noise.
